The 2nd Event of COLOTAN-ETN took place virtually in the week of 17th January, 2022. The meeting was originally planned to take place in Athens 🏛️, but, owing to the pandemic, this was not possible.
We had 5 energizing ⚡🤩 days packed with good science, innovative perspectives and productive discussions, in which the MSCA Early-Stage Researchers, the supervisors, some invited speakers and the European Research Executive Agency (REA) played a key role.
On Tuesday, we had the opportunity to present the 🧫 work we have been developing during the past months, each at 🏢 their institution. The feedback from the supervisors, Partner Organisation representatives, and the Industrial Advisory Board was very encouraging! ✌️
As young scientists 🥼, just like conferences, we find these meetings invigorating.
They are stimulating opportunities to connect with the scientific community, think about new strategies to approach our research, contemplate the bigger picture and even establish collaborations.
The main benefits of these meetings were:
⭐ Honing our communication skills
⭐ Discussing ideas
⭐ Getting input about our individual work
⭐ Learning about potentially attractive areas for our projects
On Wednesday, the Midterm Check – a whole day meeting – finished off with a very positive feedback from the REA representative on the different aspects of the project 👏🏼
Moreover, as part of the COLOTAN event week, a 📔symposium focused on 💊 Colonic Drug Disposition was held on Thursday and attended by around 250 participants from all over the world. This was in addition to a series of dedicated 📝 workshops on Monday and Friday by University of Copenhagen and Elpen Pharmaceutical.
