Pedro Canhão Costa is nominated as best presenter at the 2023 Johnson & Johnson Global Science Symposium

Pedro, COLOTAN Ph.D. Researcher at J&J Johnson Innovative Medicine, participated in the 2023 Johnson & Johnson Global Science Symposium, where Ph.D. and Postdoctoral fellows, from all parts of the world, gathered in Beerse (Belgium), between October 17th and 19th.

He was awarded the “Best Outstanding Talk”, amongst all selected Ph.D. and Postdoctoral participants, for his oral presentation titled: “Human organotypic colon in vitro microtissue: a new window into colonic drug disposition”.

This work reflects a collaboration with MatTek Life Sciences to characterize an in vitro microtissue prototype of the human colon.
